Light drizzle of rain woke us in the morning.
Far away, the white frosted Himalayas met
the bleak sky. We started from Manali on
our way to Atal tunnel.

Bang opposite our refuge for the night, we
came this small garden where the famous

apple trees hung low as rain dripped the branches

A canopy of apple laden branches
swayed in the cool wind that looked so fresh
Our car for Ladakh Drive, Suzuki Jimny 4x4 Four Wheel drive by gautam lahiri
Two Himalayan local dogs greeted us as
we walked towards our warhorse, the Suzuki
Jimny that drove us around 3000 kms
across the rough terrain

We kick off our drive for Atal Tunnel
through the hilly narrow uphill roads. The

rain gave us company
Manali-Leh Highway by gautam lahiri
Soon enough, we hit the Leh-Manali
Highway that circled the hills and
merged with Atal Tunnel

exiting the Atal tunnel where we took
the left towards Leh
