SPITFIRE GAUTAM

Picture of Spitfire Gautam or Gautam Lahiri
Gautam Lahiri and his team at the start of river rafting at Rishikesh, India.

Team leadership cannot be taught. It is an inborn talent that finds its way to the top by the sheer power of setting examples.

Spend a few moments with us as we battle our way through the gurgling waters of a young river Ganges, in Rishikesh, India.

Listening to the team lead

We get introduced to the raft leader and with rapt attention we soaked his commands.

We set out for an experience of a lifetime

Tackling rapids

After conquering smaller rapids, we float along a turbulent section by way of standing on the raft to sharpen our balancing act.

Learning to ride the rough water waves

Dipped in Ganges Water

Once the rapids were silenced, a section of calm water prevailed all over us. We jumped into the cool water to get refreshed under the hot sun.

The cool and calm waters after the rapids

Rapids once again

After swimming in the calm waters, there came three rapids in quick succession. Hope you too get excited.

Rapids, galore!

Blazing through Crossfire

This rapid was the toughest of them all. Locking our feet we braced for the onslaught and way we went.

We braced and went into the crossfire

Did you feel the excitement? Balance, agility, and following the commands were the only success factors. It was simply fascinating to face nature’s fury.
